Our Vietnam Journey Begins

Well, we are on our way with a flight to Singapore today – and a very comfortable one at that too. The plane (Singapore Airlines 777) wouldn’t be more than one-third full and there is a good lot of leg room. (Why have I been so loyal to cramped old Qantas for all this time?). The meal was good – a couple of glasses of red wine, a snooze afterwards (nothing to do with the wine) and some good quality time to catch up with my emails using my Palm Pilot and my portable keyboard. I’ll upload this when we get to our hotel later this afternoon.

Off to Saigon tomorrow morning with a high level of anticipation as to how it may have progressed since I was last there in 1995.
