We’ll try to post an update about our time in St Petersburg shortly. In the meantime, here are some photos of this amazing city.
This is the Church of the Spilled Blood, completed in 1907, built on the site where Tsar Alexander II was murdered. The Soviets let is decay during the communist years, and it has been restored in recent years, still operating as a museum.

We made it across Russia!! At Peterhof, the gardens run down to the coasat on the Gulf of Finland. The last time we saw the sea, it was the Sea of Japan/Pacific coast in Vladivostok.

Celebratiosn for this year’s Navy Day in Russia – this was a fountain set up in the Neva River that was set to music. It started at midnight.
