Shopping With Audrey

We had a fun day minding our two grand daughters on Thursday. We spent a few hours with Audrey as she played shopkeeper in her ‘cubby house supermarket’.

With some items from our pantry and a few cut-out items to sell, she earnestly engaged in the task of recommending different products for various purposes. Amongst other things, I bought some tomato paste and anchovies which she told me would make delicious pizzas. What a sales person!

I was rather set back to find that milk was $70 per litre, but it ‘scanned’ properly so I put it into my shopping bag. When I ran out of money, Audrey the shopkeeper, came out from behind her counter to provide me with more money so that I could continue shopping at her supermarket.

If only the Apple Store and the Travel Agent did the same thing!

This was the house in which Jill’s grandfather lived whilst he served as the Inspector of Police in the town from around 1931 to 1938. It appears that the police stopped […]
