Kosciusko View

On my flight home from Africa, I flew a final sector from Sydney to Melbourne. On a beautiful clear afternoon, we had a spectacular view of the Kosciusko Range under snow; a real contrast to the tropical heat of Zanzibar where I had started NT trip home, some 24 hours earlier.

In this photo from 33,000 feet, you can see Mt Jagungal (the only mountain in the main range that really looks like a mountain) in the middle left. Scanning across to the top right, you can identify the locations of the Rolling Ground and then the maiN range across to Mt Townsend and Mt Kosciusko at the top right of the snow covered area.

What a great view of the area that I have walked around on many occasions.
